Karneval

Karneval in Köln is not a costume party, but its own state of matter. It combines music, clubs, Sitzungen, streets, rituals, and a lot of collective readiness for an exceptional situation. Hajo Päffgenrath doesn't only have to function during Karneval, but he understands this logic: people want to escape everyday life together without losing contact with one another.
