The Festkomitee Kölner Karneval von 1823 e.V. is officially responsible for the big picture of organized Kölner Karneval: Rose Monday parade, Dreigestirn, societies, customs, framework, and direction. In Hajos Welt, there is an additional unofficial branch: Hajo Päffgenrath's regulars' table. Quarterly, strictly confidential, with Kölsch coasters as a substitute for minutes. Of course, nothing is decided there. Officially. People just talk about the motto, music, Zoch-feeling, Dreigestirn rumors, and the state of the fool's soul until Hajo Päffgenrath gives a single slow nod. In Köln, this nod isn't a decree, but sometimes you only realize in hindsight that an entire session suddenly sounds as if Hajo Päffgenrath had straightened the ashtray beforehand.
